CJP's PresenTense Boston Fellowship is a six-month part-time program based in Boston that enables young Jewish social innovators to turn their envisioned projects into reality.  To learn more: browse the fact sheet (below), meet past Fellows, and apply to join the 2013 cohort!

TIMELINE
The Fellowship starts in January and ends in late May/early June with Launch Night.

All workshops will be scheduled on Sundays and weekday evenings to best accommodate your full-time work/school schedule.

*additional workshops will fall in between these seminar dates and announced prior to the start of the Fellowship

CURRICULUM 
Through a six-month curriculum based on Design Theory, Fellows will learn theories and test practical tools in the following seminars (see dates above):
  •   Determining Vision
  •   Environmental Scanning
  •   Social Business Models
  •   Prototyping and Assessment
  •   Operations and Finance
  •   Sales and Fundraising

NETWORK AND RESOURCES
All Fellows are matched with a volunteer business coach from the local community, will have access to a network of subject matter experts and will learn from the experience of esteemed roundtable presenters. Following completion of the program, Fellows will also have the opportunity to be matched with an experienced Mentor and apply for a small grant to serve as seed funding.

CRITERIA
  • Between the ages of 22 and 40
  • Based in the Greater Boston area
  • Committed to pursuing an idea that will engage, leverage, and inspire Boston's Jewish community or advancing a local Jewish non-profit by incubating a new program/initiative
  • Interested in learning valuable tools and making important connections that will help you impact the world through sustainable venture
  • Interested in developing a culture of innovation for the Boston Jewish community

EXPECTATIONS
Each Fellow is required to complete 6 venture milestones which correspond to the seminars. Fellows are expected to attend 80% of all scheduled programming and monthly meetings with volunteer experts.

COST
Program fee: $120

Costs include all professional workshop leaders, program materials and workshop meals (where applicable). No additional payment will be provided. Financial assistance available on case-by-case need basis.
